My truck isn't getting the mileage it did when it was newer (13 vs. 16). It has the 3 valve 5.4 engine - 1/2 ton, 4wd, 3.54 axle, automatic, extended cab, 6.5' bed. It's time to change plugs, will that do the trick or do I need to clean the injectors? Will a gas additive work for cleaning the injectors?

If they are the original plugs, that is a good place to start. Also, make sure the air filter is good. THe OEM plugs are to last 100K, but they get weak much sooner.

Let me know if it helps.
