I have a 2004 Ford F-150 4x4 and it has no power what so ever. When I am going up hills I could be doing like 45 mph at the bottom but when I reach half way I am doing like 25-30 mph. It has no acceleration power at all. I have to let my foot of the accelerator to shift my truck. If I push the pedal to the metal all it does is rev up really loud and loses all power. What is wrong?

Does it seem as if the transmission is slipping? (Does the engine rev normally but the truck doesn't pick up speed?) Also, have you checked the catalytic converter to see if it is plugged?

Let me know.

Yeah. When I push the gas it revs and doesn't pick up any speed and if I push it all the way down all it does is rev up and gets really loud then it dont go nowhere. Also I'm not a car person how would I check if the converter is plugged in? Thank you for responding I really appreciate it.

Okay, the trans is slipping, so forget the converter. Have you checked to make sure the trans fluid is full.

Let me know what you find.

It sounds like the clutches are bad in the transmission. I hate to say it, but since I can't drive it, it needs checked by a trans tech.

Let me know what you find.
