Driving my truck earlier today and had no signs of trouble. I parked my truck at my parents for approximately 11 hours then was going home. I started the truck and let it run for approximately 15 minutes to warm up and then left. The truck I could feel was acting up as soon as I pulled out of the driveway. The CHECK ENGINE SOON light started flashing minutes after hitting the road. The truck was shaking badly most of the way home. I made it home and checked the manual and it says a flashing CHECK ENGINE SOON light indicates misfiring. Just wondering what troubleshooting steps I can take to cure this problem, plugs or plug wires? Thanks and Merry Christmas!

There are a multitude of reasons for a misfire. Obviously don't drive it like that or you will damage the converter.

For it to come on so sudden, I don't expect that several plugs just went bad. I would first get the codes from the computer and see what other codes besides misfire codes are stored.
Or you can follow a troubleshooting format for diagnosing the misfire found in a manual.
