Engine Cooling problem
1999 Ford F150 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

Just had my thermostate replaced, new coolant added, oil change and air cleaner replaced. This seemed to fix my overheating issue. Drove 65 miles outside of Phoenix, while A/C was on, temp. Guage remained just below the 1/2 mark. I stopped for 10 minutes, hit the highway again and the temp. Guage started to creep up to the 3/4 mark; I turned off the A/C and the guage dropped to just under the 1/2 mark, again. After 20 miles, I turned the A/C on and everything remained OK. After getting to Tucson and stopping again for 10 minutes, I proceeded down the highway, A/C on, and the temp. Guage rose to the 3/4 mark. I turned off the A/C and it creeped back to just under the 1/2 mark. I ended up arriving at home, shortley there after, A/C off and confused. Any ideas what might be causing this intermittent overheating issue?

If you to check the coolant level you will find it low
checked ASAP and replace the intake manifold gasket
or you will end up with a junk and no good engine
V6 is a good engine but they have the intake problem
it will allow antifreeze into the cylinders
mistaken by many that is thehead gasket no good
and i've seen it where it hydro lock the engine and bend the piston
again have it checked ASAP
good luck
