If I shut off the truck, unplug and replug the battery and then go to the lights, I can turn them back on and off.

I get in my truck turn the lights off and on, and they will. Once I turn my truck on and turn my lights on, they wont go off, even if the switch is in the off position. The dash lights wont come on when the light are on.
If I shut off the truck, unplug and replug the battery and then go to the lights, I can turn them back on and off.
