Hi I have a 97 f150. I live in canada where it is cold. I started the truck on a cold day after not using it for a week or so. I let the truck warm up for a few minutes and then started to drive. Everything worked as normal until I went to stop at an intersection where the truck stalled. I tried starting it again and it would not start. I tried boosting the battery and that did not work. I replaced the battery and cleaned the connection cables. This did not help either. When I try to start the truck it won't turn over. I am not sure what is wrong. Can you help?
Thanks.

Will it crank? Or no crank at all? To me it sounds like its not cranking due to the things you are trying to do to get it to start?

If you jump the solenoid key in the on position, does starter engage and vehicle start? Nothing?

If it engages and starts then the next step is to check if the solenoid is getting a +12v reference, if there is no +12v reference check the neutral safety switch for proper functionality and the ignition switch.
