1997 Ford F150 P0705 code

check engine light came on - code was P0705 - replaced the TSR sensor - light is still on - I have removed the code and the light still comes back on with the same code - Is the wiring bad or is there something I am missing?

disconnect the transmission range (TR) sensor connector and inspect it for damaged pins, corrosion and loose wires. Also ensure the TR sensor is correctly adjusted. You need a TR sensor alignment tool for this procedure. Align the three slots on the TR sensor with tabs on the adjuster (picture below)
