I have a 97 F150 since new, last summer I had trouble re-starting it after it had gotten hot (outside temp and engine). Not overheating, just normal running temp. When shut off, it acts starved for fuel - cranks fine and fires-sometimes sputters. After allwoing it to cool down, it starts right up and runs with no issues. Any suggestions?

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pump pressure?

Let me know. Also, when it doesn't start, have you checked to make sure it is getting spark and fuel to the engine?
