Hi, My speedometer needle starts bouncing at 32mph. Smooth as glass up to there. Worked fine till sensor on transaxle quit. Replaced rearend sensor and just bounces now above 32mph. Was told there is a plastic gear that is worn in the tranny? Any truth to that or is it the cluster? Thanks in advance, Joe

Did you replace the VSS (vehicle speed sensor)?

Hi, The mechanic replaced the sensor on the top of the rear end diferential. That got the speedo working up till it hits 32 then bounces. I found last night a wired plug about 11 o'clock from the prndl swicth thats held in by a 8mm bolt and removed it. There was no gear on it, just a black plastic plug with what looks like a metal (magnetic) sensor on it. I put it back in. I pulled the cluster to make sure it was connected good and it was. Thats all that been done. Thanks in advance, Joe
