Thats quite a hot thermostat!

Feel your heater core hoses with the engine hot, are they hot? One hot and one warm? Both hot? Both cold?

Hi:
The heater vent door must not be opening far enough. It's a vent that opens and closes allowing heat to enter and it blocks the heat when it's warm. A 195 degree t-stat is the factor temp. That should be working fine for the heater and the engine. If both hoses are hot, that means coolant is passing through the heater core and it should be creating heat. The last thing is the vent door. It should be located in the HVAC ductwork nearest the heater core. I realize you mentioned the heater doors work fine, but that is my best guess based on your descriptions.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
