1994 Ford F150, 207K, 302 c.I. Suddenly becomes sluggish, sputters and then stalls. It is Intermittent only in the summer or hot days. When I switch the fuel tanks, I can drive a few miles further before it dies completely. Temp guage is normal. Tanks are full. Will happen under normal or stresed driving. I live drive in Colorado and drive between 5000 to 8500 feet elevation. I changed out the module with no success. Only solution is let it set for 30 minutes and disconnect and reconntect the battery cable. Rus fine before and after. May not reoccure for months. What is happening? How can I fix it permenantly? Thanks Jerry.

Have either of the fuel pumps ever been replaced? Are you sure it has no fuel pressure when it dies?

In a recent visit to a Certified Mechanic, after various tests, he concluded the fuel pumps are old and weak in their pressure and are the likely casuse of the problem. About $400 worth of work and parts (for each tank)!

I have yet to prove this when I change out the pumps. Retai the pumps are abou $185. Ebay about $50. Thanks Jerry
