Your answer to the 1994 F150 was where I've been. I bought a marvelous truck that had been babied by it's one old owner-- all hwy miles, etc. No problems save a new oil pump and water pump. We had an ice storm a week ago, and after being parked for a day she wouldnt start. I had 2 mechanix look at it-- we cleaned the IAC, checked for spark and fuel. I knew if it sat for a day it'd start right up, which it did the next day. So I'm thinkin' moisture.
No problems til this morning after a light rain. Boom-- no start. Tried to catch, yet didn't. Have replaced wires, siliconed everything, new cap and rotor. You shouldve seen the plugs--! Gap mustve been.125, and hadnt been replaced in thousands of miles.
She fired, ran terribly rocky, and abruptly died. I've used electronic cleaner on all connections I can disconnect to try to remove moisture. I hate to be a 'throw parts at it 'til it works' mechanic. Have I lost the coil now? WHat am I overlooking? -- Many thanks. It's still raining here in Virginia, and I can't move.

You need to check the output of the coil. You will have to buy a cheap spark checker, it very well could be weak spark. You should have atleast 20,000 volts at the coil. If not replace the coil.
