I do appreciate all the time you put into this forum and I certainly know you're one busy expert in this field. I need your help if you could help me I would be greatly appreciative of your thoughts.
I have a 1995 Ford Explorer that all the sudden started to sputter and shake. I notice it had a loss of power. Like when I pushed on the gas in drive the most I can get it up to was about 15 to 20 mph and that slowly. In your expert opinion where's the first place you would look?

You're describing a typical misfire condition. The most common suspects are spark plugs and wires. You may also want to have the diagnostic fault codes read and recorded. There won't be any to indicate which cylinder is misfiring on '95 and older vehicles, but sensor problems will be detected. The people at many auto parts stores will read the codes for you for free.
