Cold Draft Behind Glove Box

2004 Ford Explorer, 70K miles, V6 Engine, not many bells and whistle on this SUV. Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Auto, Selectable 4WD.
The controls for the heat and A/C are manual knobs. To adjust fan speed, temperature and air flow direction.
This is a problem we’ve been living with the past year, there seems to be a cold draft coming from behind the glove box. Right now it is easy to live with, but with the cold weather coming, it is difficult to sit in the passenger’s seat during a long travel. The driver is comfortable and the passenger is freezing.

I thought it might be the fresh air vent stuck open, but have not been able to identify where the controls are?
Are there error codes that I could check they may help?

Any suggestions to help diagnose this problem?
