Recently, I noticed that when I pull into a parking space, the brakes slip, as if I were sliding on ice and it becomes difficult to stop. The brake pedal also feels as though it pushes in further when this happens, as if I'm losing vacuum pressure in the master cylinder or something. It only does it when the wheel is turned in either direction after a certain point. Otherwise it seems to stop fine. It's very strange, and I just cannot seem to figure out why it only does this when the wheel is turned.

There is an ABS sensor on both front wheels at the end of the axle where it goes into the wheel hubs. Check the wiring to them. Chances are the wiring has been damaged and shorting the ABS when you turn, or the sensors / stator are dirty and actuating the ABS. Here is a picture of the sensor.

Thank you very much.I will check the sensors and wiring and see if that is the problem. I appreciate the response. I'll get back to you and let you know if that works.

Let me know. That is the only thing at this point that makes sense to me because it only happens when you turn.

Take care,
Joe
