An "amber-colored alarm light" below the oil & battery meter indicator on the dash board in ON. The light is shaped like a whistling kettle. May I know what it stands for? I've already consulted a motor repair shop but they don't know at all what does it means or what is the problem.
Its a 1999 Ford Explorer.

Thank you!

Are you sure it isn't the oil light? Is there anyway you could take a picture of it and upload it for me?

I made a sketch of the light, scanned it and here I am posting. This light I believe is suppose to light only during engine start up and after the system check this is suppose to turn off. I've seen this light in a toyota corolla car of my friend.

Thanks!

It looks like a check engine light. Have you tried having the computer scanned? Most parts stores will do it for free.

Many parts stores will scan it for free unless you live in CA.
