I am wondering where to locate the fuel pump for my 1999 Ford Explorer, as well as how to replace it.

Hi Rose121069,

It located inside the fuel tank and you need to drop the fuel tank to get at it.

Just replaced mine last week. Located inside the tank. Pretty simple drop the tank it only has two straps holding it lower it with a jack and the pump is inside the top fuel tank assembly. Be sure to release the schrader valve to depressurize the system first. Looks like a tire stem next to the upper manifold.
