Electrical problem
1998 Ford Explorer 135000 miles

Everytime I try to lock my doors it seems like it struggles to lock even one door. If I hit it multiple times eventually it will lock. I've replaced the battery and it does it even with a new one. Not sure what else to try. Also the light in my dash by the fuel indicator went out do I need a new fuse?
Thank you

Chances are either the solenoid for the locks is getting weak, or the switch isn't allowing enough power through. Using a volt gauge, check the voltage to the solenoid.

As far as the dash lights, that wouldn't be a fuse. If the fuse was bad, they all would have gone bad.
