My battery is dead and I cannot get this shield off the battery. I cannot find any schematics on the web.

The problem is the little screw to the left of the positive cable when you try and get that off at tightens the connector

Please see pictures.

Can anybody help please?

Remove the two nuts and battery hold down bracket then the battery. See pictures. You may be turning nuts in wrong direction. Arrow points to correct way to turn nuts.

Forgot, use baking soda and water to clean corrosion up on terminal ends. One tablespoon to a half a cup of water will do it.

Was able to get it, thank you. I have had the same issue two years ago with the corrosion/dead battery. Charging it now we will see if it holds the charge, if not it is going back to Ford. Thanks four the help.
