I replaced the battery on my 1997 Ford Explorer L.E. And after replacing it, the displays in the cabin did not reset (i.E; radio display, time, temp. Etc). It still displays alerts (i.E; "oil change required" and "system check") but goes back to blank again.

Hello klorster

Disconnecting or replacing a battery on a computer-equipped vehicle may cause starting, driveability and a number of other problems, including loss of air conditioning, power accessory functions (door windows, seats, sunroof), false warning lights, even damage to certain electronic modules.
Allays use a computer memory saver before disconnecting the battery.
A special relearn procedure or reprogram procedure should be performed with a factory scan tool.

My ex Matt disconnected my battery, put a tracker on my car and f***ed it up inside and ou! He stalked me for years on and offline because I stopped sleeping with him after meeting somebody new. He was found to have psychopath personality disorder who suffers from MS with psychizophrenia paranoia. He is extremely difficult to deal with. Born evil, who raped his business partner's daughters because he hates him with a passion.
