1994 Ford Explorer

HELLO EVERYONE! I'M NEW TO THE SITE, AND HOPE TO RECEIVE SOME ANSWERS.
I have a 1994 Ford Explorer. I never had any problems with the truck intill now. I recent had quit a few new parts place on it. The last part I was told I needed was a module, it was place right after a crunk censior. Leaving the shop, the check engine light pops right on. I was told to drive car, as it was trying to respond to my computer. The check engine light never went off. Then later on my Brake light starts to come on. It sometimes happens when I'm pulling off. I feel something different in the gas padal, and it causes the check engine light to come on right away, and sometimes it takes a lil time for the check engine light to come on. Then when I stop on brakes the brake light will come on. Then when I press on gas, light will remove. I'm not sure whats the problem, as mechainc has told me it was the 2 other things. I went to have car tested on computer, 2 codes pop up. What does all of this means.

It sounds like the mechanic isn't sure what is going on or is acting like other things need fixed that really are fine. First, is it just the red brake light in the vehicle that comes on or does the ABS light come on too? Next, what happens when the check engine light comes on? Also, I need to know what codes he pulled or you can take the vehicle to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for free and let me know.

If it is just the red brake light in the SUV that comes on, check to make sure the brake fluid is full. Let me know about the codes.

Hello Joe! I'm so very glad to have receive your response. As a matter of fact, I taken my car to Peep Boys to have test ran. "Thats when the 2 codes poped up." I didn't think to check rather my fluid was low or not. I'll be sure to let someone look at it for me. Thank you! As far as the codes. Here they are. CODES PULLED 332 & 335
Yes to answer your question. It's just the brake light sign only that comes. Seems like when I pull off I feel a certain heaviness in the pedal. I guess that would be air. Then check engine light comes on right after. The mechanic told me when brake light comes on it usually means it's air in the line. I think I word it right;) I also notice sometimes check engine light comes on a lil later, then sometimes it will pop right on. I'm trying to explain it the best way I know how. But the strangest thang. While I was driving on hwy, I heard some type of noise near my computer. Went to park and go inside store. Come back and tried to crunk it back up. It wouldn't turn over. It sound the very same way it sound when I was told I needed that Module. Next day, I went to try and crunk it. Turn right over with no problem. I'm so afraid to drive it long way, because I do not want it to do same thing. Just not sure. I do not want to keep spending money on parts that has nothing to do with problem.

Knock Sensor 2 Circuit Low Input (Bank 2)

Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit Malfunction

First, air shouldn't get into the brake system unless there is a leak or the master cylender is empty. Check to make sure the brake fluid is fill. As far as air in the brakes, that isn't the only thing that can cause the light to come on.

As for the no start, based on teh codes you have, the crankshaft position sensor is bad. Chances are it is setting the knock sensor code. Is that what he already replaced?

Morning, thank you sooooo very much. Yes he replace the crunk censior a couple months back. I still have my old one for keeps. So what does this means. Did he not install the censior on correctly. I'm getting my fluids checked out today, . As far as to the codes; it was so very helpful. But I found it so funny after Module being install, check engine light comes on right after. So at this point, what do you suggest.

Reading back on your last msg the mechanic install crunk censior. Isn't that different from what the codes pull? I want to make sure I'm giving you proper information. However, the very last part he install was the Module, after that the check engine light came on. So it seems like when old parts were remove and install, the true problem pop up, and thats what the codes pull correct. Trying to get better understanding.

The name is at tip of my mind. However, I can explain what it was doing and maybe you will know which one. My car wasn't catching any fire when turning over. It would just make the crunk noise, but wouldn't completly turn over to crunk. "E. Module, "
I would have to look at recepit for full name. As far as my brake light. Taken it to Auto Zone, my fluid was very low, once brake fluid was in, the brake light disappear. I drive it around to be on safe side. No brake light came back on. Thank you! ;). I shared the code info w/ my Father, he said he sort of figure thats what was making my check engine light come on. I called around to auto store to get price check for the 2 parts the code pulled up. Not to bad. I suppose to take my car back down on Monday, anymore suggestions?
