I have a 1994 Ford Explorer (155000 miles). Last weekend the fuel pump quit, so I bought the replacement, and ran into an unexpected problem. The fuel lines are connected to the broken fuel pump with clips (which I removed) but still don't want to come off. I've tried pulling, prying, twisting, and everything else I can think of short of a sawzall. How do I remove the fuel lines?

They can stick pretty good after a few years, twist it back and give it a mighty heave, re=oil the o-rings with engine oil before you re-connect the lines, you have hairpinclips, not spring connects?

There were large clips, each about the size of my thumb, holding each of the fuel lines onto the fuel tubes from the gas tank. I managed to pry one of the lines off, but I'm afraid I damaged it in the process. The other line spins freely, but I've tried everything up to and including prying it with a crowbar to release it from that tube, with no luck so far.
