We keep hearing a clanking noise coming from the engine, and while I was driving home from work last night the vehicle died and there was antifreeze leaking from the radiator. I got it started again but it only stayed started for about 30 seconds then died again. I also have been having problems with when I start it and try to drive it. It will chug for about 5 minutes and it does that alot when I am in 1st gear. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

First, could you describe the sound? Also, are you sure the radiator is leaking or could it be the waterpump? THe water pump can make a clanking noise if it is bad, and it can leak coolant from a weep hole.

Now as far as the running problem. Did the engine ever over heat? If so, how badly? My concern is there is a possible headgasket problem.

LEt me know so I can better help you.
