2003 Ford Expedition HVAC air flow shifting between defrost

Upon acceleration, blower door appears to shift from dash outlets to defrost postion, than returns when engine vacuum load is reduced. Could this be a vacuum hose loose or off, or more likely some type of valve or vacuum component? Thanks in advance for your help.
