I have a near complete loss of vacuum causing the car to idle rough and stall on accelleration. Have checked all vacuum hoses, checked master air flow sensor, idle sensors with no luck. Any idea of what might be wrong?

Two mechanics have not been able to figure this out.

Hi krdarner,

Thank you for the donation.

Poor idling and loss of power can be due to various factors such as:

1. Valve timing out of specs. Was timing belt checked/replaced prior to this?

2. Compression loss. Do a compression test to verify they are within specs.

3. Valve clearance too tight. Thsi would result in compression drop as well.

Check the above and let me know the results.
