1999 Ford Escort how to take out transmisson

I have taken off the wheel and brakes and rotars but cannont get the axle out to drop the transmission

Hi
you need a tool that pushes the axle from the hub so that you don, t damage the axle. You still have a lot more to remove the stableizer bar strutsmounts starter. You really need to have a service manual for this car. This is a tough job and would be a lot easier following a manual. Hope this helps
