1997 Ford Escort won't start, car has electricity.

My standard escort won't start for some reason. I try to switch the key to start but nothing happens. Battery was checked yersterday by autozone test good. Radio, headlights work. I think the starter is bad or something.

You can check the starter by lightly tapping on it with a hammer. Doing this while someone else tries to crank the vehicle, will sometimes allow the bendix to turn the flywheel.
