1996 Ford Escort broken sliding seat belt

My car has a sliding latch for the seat betal to go into above the door, which slides upon opening and closeing the door. But the cable inside snapped and now it doesnt work. Is there any way to repair this easy or swap it with another from the car?

The whole unit will need to be removed and be replaced. You can get one from the junkyard, but try to get the same year. Lube the track with silicone every so often to get it to stop chattering.
