My grandson's Escort GT will not shift into gear with the engine running but goes in just fine with the engine idle. It's like you aren't even pushing the clutch pedal down. Could this have something to do with the clutch master cylinder? I haven't worked on a car since about 1988 when I replaced the timing chain on my son's 1980 T-Bird and thought this was all behind me until we wound up having to raise 3 of our grandchildren last year. Thanks for any help you can give me on this as we have limited funds and so does he.
