1992 Ford Escort No spark

This is a weird one. My son called from college and told me his Escort had died. He's a good troubleshooter and discovered he has spark to only one plug. What could be causing this? Todd J.

two things come to mind. Tfi module or ignition module.
Or broken camshaft. Make sure the cam is turning and working valves on all cyls. A compression test will verify the cam works.
The module can be tested at most parts stores. Hope this helps billymac
