today my car read that it was hot, but it has no thermostat, has oil and antifreeze, and the fan works fine. What could be wrong?

Hi trisch,

Why no thermostat? If the antifreeze is not flowing fast enough, the water pump could be faulty or the radiator is clogged.

If the reading is high but the engine is not hot, then it could be a sending unit or gauge problem.
