1991 Ford Escort fuel cutout light on

1991 Ford Escort 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my escort completely died as I was making a left hand turn onto another street. Car will turn over but not start. acts as if not getting fuel but checked lines and cutoff valve which were all correct. my question is if i checked both of these, what else could prevent my car from starting.

could be many things but first to check are the fuel pressure and the spark plugs. if no fuel pressure then check the fuel pump relay and fuel pump. if no spark then inspect each plug and wire and replace as necessary.
