I was driving home this morning; I put oil in it on the way home, all of a sudden there was a horrible smell and a very thick white smoking coming from the tailpipe of my car. When I checked the oil when I got home after allowing it to cool, it was still a brownish color, not milky so the anitfreeze wasnt mixed it. What could it be?

Is the coolant level low? You may have a bad headgasket. It doesn't need to leak into the oil. It can burn in the combustion chamber. That would cause the white smoke.

Let me know.
