2001 Ford Escape 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 50.000 miles
WE HAVE AN INTERMINTENT PROBLEM. CAR HAS DIED WHILE HIGHWAY DRIVING, WOULDN'T RESTART. TOWED TO MECHANIC WHO 2 DAYS LATER COULDN'T MAKE IT FAIL TO START. IT'S WORKED FINE UNTIL YESTERDAY. WHEN MY HUSBAND LEFT IT RIUNNING FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES, GOT IN AND HIT THE STARTER. IT DIED AND WON'T RESTART. WE TRID AGAIN AFTER IT SAT OVERNITE. NO LUCK.A FEW MONTHS AGO IT WAS MISSING BADLY.A BROKEN WIRE SOMEWHERE IN THE IGNITION WAS FOUND AND PRESUMABLY FIXED. IT
S WORK UP TIL THIS INCIDENT. ANY IDEAS?TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID IT'S IN THE FULE LINE, ANOTHER SAID IT'S ELECTRICAL. WE NEED SOME ANSWERS, MY HUSBAND IS RECOVERING FROM A BROKEN HIP AND WE CAN'T TAKE THE CHANCE HE COULD BE STRANDED. THANKS, M. LOU
