rough idle

1994 ford crown victoria 4.6 v8 52,000mi
starts fine and runs great but it idles rough, and today it stalled on me. my check engine lite comes on and off while driving. I was told that it might be the o2 censor, but wanted to get your opinion.

You need to get it scanned for whatever is setting the light to come on and off,,, your car is obdI, I'm not sure if parts stores scan obdI, I know most do obdII.. you can buy a scan tool for your car for like 30 or so bucks, it's easy to use, comes with good instructions...
