1985 Ford Crown Victoria instal air bags where none exist?

I plan to buy a good used 1985 Ford Crown Vic. With, I assume no air bags.
Can I buy all the parts and have my mechanic install them for driver and passenger?
If so, can I buy the parts from salvage that have not been exausted?
If so, should it be for a Ford Crown Vic?
Yes, this car does have only 31,000 original miles (52,000 km in Canada) only 2 owners; so far.
I think it's a beauty; always garaged.
