1998 Ford Contour help pls

I was diving to work the other day. When the oil light flicked on then onff a gain a few times. About a mile later it came on steady and within 1 minute the car died and wont restart. It just make aclicking noise. Any ideas on what could cause this and a way to fix it.

I am affarid to say but I think your engine is in bad shape. When oil light comes on that means no oil pressure an engine cannot run without oil. Check oil level if full then pump failure if very low add oil a fail safe switch shut engine off. Good Luck
