Our car has a new altinator and the car wont hold a charge and stalls. We cleaned the grounders and connectors but it still wont work what could be the problem?

Could be the battery is bad and not taking the charge, use a voltmeter over battery terminals with engine OFF battery should have at least 12.5 volts and hold at that?. If you are getting between 13 - 14 volts to battery with engine running the alternator is charging correctly.
