I just picked up a set of new LCAs with ball joints to replace the original ones on my car. This is my first time ever doing something like this, but it seemed pretty simple.
My quesion is actually how firm should the new ball joints be? One of them I could not move at all until I tapped it a couple of times with a rubber hammer. This freed it up to the point where I can move it slightly, but there is still a lot of resistance. However, with the other new ball joint I can simply move it with the pressure from one thumb. Is this okay, or might this ball joint be defective?
Thanks
