idle

I have an 88 bronco xlt w/5.8l, the motor seems to idle at around a 1000 rpm's then it will settle down to normal, and idle back up again. It does this just about all day. Thanks for any and all help. Ray

Check for any leaks in the intake, etc.

might want to check your idle ait control valve as well.
