My 93 bronco will not engage the four wheel drive. When I press the button to engage there is a clicking sound from under the glove box and it will not engage. I have tried a different switch out of an explorer and it does the same thing ( I realize that explorers and broncos aren't the same the switches have a strong resemblance though). Is the switch that particular as far as function? What else could be the problem?

An occasional problem on this vehicle is failure of the 4WD Shift Motor. The cost to repair the 4WD Shift Motor is estimated at $250.00 for parts and $65.00 for labor. You may want to get that switch checked.
