I have an 89' ford bronco with a 5.0 v8. I bought the truck for $600 and put a new clutch and a new drive shaft into it. The truck has a 4 inch suspention lift with 31' tires. My truck is geting 5-6 miles per gallon. I have checked my firing order and also put new spark plugs and wires on. I did a new air filter and fuel system treatment but it still sucks gas. I even put a new o2 sensore in it but still its sucking gas. My check engine light will come on when im driveing at 3,000 rpm in third gear and it will blink twice and not come back on. I also pased immisions last month too. I dont know what is wrong and I really need help. Im geting 6 miles per gallon but soposed to get 15. Help

See if replacing the fuel pressure regulator helps. Trippled my gas milage on my 89 xlt 302 v8. Cheap 40 to 50 dollars and easy to replace.

Acetone can help you raise your gas mileage dramatically
after you fix it all or if you cant, just add PURE acetone (2oz per 10 gallons. No more than 3oz per 10gallons)
It helps vapor burnoff, look it up on the internet it is no joke. Pick it up at any hardware store or auto store, keep it away from paint and skin, as it can burn. I put it in my 89 XLT and instead of about 10 im getting 18mpg now.

"with a 5.0 v8. 4 inch suspention lift with 31' tires. "
there are your two problems right there the 5.0 should get 15 mpg, but when you lift a vehical at all even a just a suspension lift you will get worse gas mileage also you might be getting more than you think the odomotor is off now along with the speedomotor, lifting and adding bigger tires changes everything you could help it alot by taking both of those off.
