Hey there I have a 1988 ford bronco fullsize 250,000 km on it. I have had it parked recently for about a month and a half and went to start it the other day and it would not go. I assumed it was due to the battery being dead, so I got a boost and it still would not start but the starter made a rapid clicking noise like it wanted to start. I then got a new battery and tryd that and nothing happend at all, the interior light came on for about ten seconds then went off. I am boggled on what could be wrong.

thanks

Check for a loose and corroded terminalls on the battery, also check the grounds for the vehicles electrical system, make sure they are not missing and make sure everything is tight.

Does it still click when attemping to crank it? Try jumping the starter solenoid with a screwdriver if the starter turns then you got an issue with the solenoid. If not the starter is at fault.
