1996 Ford Aerostar changing the oil pan

1996 Ford Aerostar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

i took out all the screws to the oil pan it came loose but for some reason i cant get it all the way off. The pan feels like its cetching on something and i was just wondering how im supposed to get the oil pan off. im doing it at my house with ramps and thats about all. what do i need and how do i do it?

you may be better taking this one to a shop if you have limited tools. you actually need to remove the starter and the entire transmission assembly before the pan can be dropped out.
