My truck is equipped with fog lights from the factory but I can't find a way to turn them on. The headlight switch will not pull out or push in like I've read and no other switches to be seen. Am I missing something?

Hi,

Did you just recently get the vehicle? The fog lights should operate when the headlamp switch is pulled outward. You should feel a click. If you just purchased the truck, there is a chance parts were changed as well, and the new (used) body parts may have had fog lights and your vehicle didn't originally have them. If you look under the vehicle where the fog lights are located, is there an electrical connector plugged into the light?

I ask if you just got the vehicle because I'm questioning if someone has replaced the headlamp switch with the wrong type (non-fog light vehicle).

I ran through the wiring schematics for W/ fog lights and DRL and without DRL. Both schematics indicate the fog lamp switch is in the head lamp switch.

Let me know. Sorry for the crazy questions but I suspect you may have just got the truck.

Let me know.

Take care,

Joe

Yes, just picked up the truck. It is wired and has fuses for the fog lights.

Hi,

It really sounds like either the switch is bad (won't move) or someone installed the wrong switch. Keep in mind that switch will only pull out when the lights are in the on position.

What I would suggest is to replace the switch itself. Chances are that is what is needed.

Let me know if I can help in any way.

Take care,

Joe

Hi,

Sounds good. Let me know if that takes care of the issue. Also, I attached the directions below for replacing the switch. I don't know if you need them, but I figured I would add them in case you do.

Take care,

Joe
