These cars had problem with the input shaft speed sensor for the transmission have you tried one yet?

Here is the shaft speed sensor location.

Check out the diagrams (Below)

Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Had a transmission mechanic yesterday and they said the clutches were worn and needed a total rebuild. $3500. May be on the way to the scrap yard now.

Hmm 3500? Don't need a new car? I would call around to see if you can get one cheaper if you can install the unit yourself it will save.

I don't have the expertise to install it myself and at this point not sure I want to dump more money into it. Afraid at this point it will be never ending.

Just bought it less than a month ago for my son. Started messing up after a week. So losing everything we paid for it in less than a month.
