I have been using semi synthetic oil for the past six months and I am planning to switch to full synthetic oil. But I have one question, is it true that by switching to full synthetic oil will damage the gaskets and seals? Thanks a lot.

no, it will not hurt them at all. semi synthetic is only 1/4 synthetic oil. you may see some oil usage at first oil change due to mineral oil working its way out, but that is normal.

8,000 kilometers if you burn oil inbetween oil changes you will burn even more oil with synthetic oil.
