MY MANUAL SAYS THAT IF THERE ISN'T ENOUGH REFRIGERANT IN THE AIR CONDITIONG SYSTEM THE LOW PRESSURE RECYCLING SWITCH CAN BE SHORTED TO ENGAGE THE A/C CLUTCH SO THE SYSTEM CAN BE CHARGED
PROBLEM -
1. I CAN'T FIND THE SWITCH
2. IF ITS WHERE I THINK IT IS, I CAN'T ACCESS IT IN THAT PART OF THE ENGINE.

FROM LOOKING AT THE WIRING DIGRAMS IN THE MANUAL IT WOULD SEEM SIMPLER TO SHORT OUT THE CONTACTS OF THE A/C CLUTCH RELAY. THE DIAGRAM SHOWS POWER IS SUPPLIED THROUGH THE RELAY TO THE CLUTCH WHICH IS CONNECTED TO GROUND - I CAN PARTIALLY REMOVE THE RELAY TO ACCESS THE CONTACT CONNECTORS WHILE LEAVING THE RELAY INPLACE - SHORT THEM AND ENGAGE THE CLUTCH
IT SEEMS SIMPLER, AM I MISSING SOMETHING?

Hi SKORI. Welcome to the forum. The easiest way to bypass the relay is to pop its cover off, reinstall it, and squeeze the contact. That's faster than trying to figure out which two terminals are the contacts.
