Engine jumping and RPM

My truck cranks fine goes for about five minutes then it starts jumping and the rpm hand is jumping up and down. It is not loosing much power when it does it, but most time I turn the air conditioner on it stops doing it. Now it is getting to where it will not stop.

Hello,

This happens when the ignition system voltage is back feeding into the tachometer circuit. I would start by replacing the spark plugs and wires with OEM parts. Here is a guide to help you get started. Service the throttle bore as well.
