My truck is bogging down. When I press on the gas it seems like it is not getting gas and then it goes. The check engine light came on and the code was p0455. I checked the gas cap and reset but it is still not running right and im not sure what the problem may be or where to start looking

EVAP emissions may be part of your problem. It could explain the gas cap fault. Make sure your EVAP lines from the charcoal canister to the fuel tank are ok. Have you done a normal tune up lately and checked the usual stuff?

Iv'e checked all the oils but haven't done a tune up. That is next on my list. Plan on doing that tomorrow. Would that make it run like it's not getting gas. It only happens one time and then it runs okay until I stop again

The engine may be purging any evaporated gasoline at startup. You can check your purge valve. Good, at least an inspection of the usuals will give us a baseline. Check a few sensors here too: MAF, IAC and MAP. Do you have any other trouble codes?

Had the same problem on my 1998 ram, spent tons of money to finally figure out it was th O2 sensor before the catalytic converter. You should start there.
